Position: Joint Chief Economist (SMP Scale-II)
- Total Posts: 01
- Age Limit: Maximum 62 years as of the application closing date.
- Contract Duration: 2 years (extendable) based on performance.
- Salary Package: As per Sindh Management Position (MP) Scale-II policy.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Economics from an HEC-recognized university with 10 years of experience in planning, economic analysis, and data management.
- OR
- Ph.D. in Economics from an HEC-recognized university with 6 years of experience in planning, economic analysis, and data management.
- Preference: Candidates with experience working with World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and Donor Agencies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Economist in planning and analysis.
- Evaluate economic policies, programs, and foreign aid projects.
- Collect and analyze economic data for development projects.
- Identify and resolve project implementation delays.
- Facilitate foreign aid acquisition for development schemes.
- Coordinate foreign training programs and study tours.
- Represent Sindh Government in CDWP/ECNEC meetings in Islamabad.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Economist & Chairman, P&D Board.
