Economic Reform Unit Job Openings

Government of Sindh Finance Department Positions 2025. The Finance Department, Government of Sindh, through its Economic Reform Unit, is seeking applications from qualified and experienced Pakistani nationals for the following contract-based positions. The initial contract will be for two years, subject to extension based on satisfactory performance.

Available Positions & Requirements

1. Financial Analyst (1 Position)

  • Responsibilities:
    • Assist in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
    • Support line departments and spending units in budget preparation following MTBF (Medium-Term Budgetary Framework).
    • Provide technical assistance in preparing budget proposals and conducting financial workshops/training.
    • Maintain comprehensive service delivery performance and compile relevant budgetary documents.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Master’s degree in Commerce, Economics, or Finance from an HEC-recognized institution.
    • At least 5 years of professional experience in public sector financial management.
    • Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and budget management tools.
    • Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years.

2. Fiscal & Financial Manager (1 Position)

  • Responsibilities:
    • Oversee MTBF implementation and fiscal operations to ensure smooth budgetary processes.
    • Analyze budget trends, financial performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Develop strategic financial roadmaps and assist line departments in financial decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with fiscal goals and provide on-site support to officials.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • MBA (Finance), CMA, ACCA, or CA from an HEC-recognized institution.
    • At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in financial planning and management.
    • Strong expertise in budget forecasting, fiscal analysis, and performance evaluation.
    • Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.

3. Data Entry Operator (Multiple Positions)

  • Responsibilities:
    • Enter, compile, and verify budgetary data for financial analysis and reporting.
    • Assist in budget review, error identification, and rectification.
    • Maintain accurate financial records and databases.
    • Ensure data security, backup operations, and compliance with government protocols.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree with a diploma in Computer Science or IT from an HEC-recognized institution.
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the public sector.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and data management systems.
    • Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years.

4. Database Manager (1 Position)

  • Responsibilities:
    • Manage and analyze financial data for budgeting and expenditure tracking.
    • Design and develop web-based database solutions for fiscal management.
    • Assist in collecting and organizing multi-year financial data for economic analysis.
    • Conduct data quality checks and ensure secure information management.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institution.
    • At least 8 years of experience in database management and financial data analysis.
    • Strong expertise in data integration, automation, and visualization tools.
    • Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years.

General Guidelines

Contract Duration: Initial two-year contract, extendable based on performance.
Domicile Requirement: Only Sindh domicile/PRC (Form D) holders are eligible.
Competitive Salary: A market-based salary package will be offered to selected candidates.
Government Employees: Must apply through the proper channel with an NOC from their current employer.
Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test/interview (No TA/DA will be provided).
