New Sindh Livestock and Fisheries Department Jobs

New Sindh Livestock and Fisheries Department Jobs. The livestock sector is a vital contributor to food security and employs around 40% of Pakistan’s labor force. The productivity of on-farm activities, especially by Small and Medium Producers (SMPs), remains constrained due to limited production scale, inappropriate practices, and inadequate public-private support systems (e.g., genetics, animal health services, and input delivery). Off-farm challenges include lack of commercialization, inefficient infrastructure for storage, processing, transportation, and market access, causing high post-harvest losses—estimated at around 20% in some areas.

To address these challenges, the Sindh Livestock & Fisheries Department is implementing the Sindh Livestock and Aquaculture Development Project (SLADP/LIVAQUA) with assistance from the World Bank.
