Job Opportunity: Project Director
Sindh Livestock & Aquaculture Development (SLAD) / LIVAQUA Project
Location: Hyderabad, Sindh

The Sindh Livestock & Fisheries Department is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional for the position of Project Director under the World Bank-assisted SLAD/LIVAQUA Project. This is a unique opportunity to lead impactful initiatives aimed at promoting climate-smart practices and supporting small and medium producers in the livestock and aquaculture sectors across Sindh.

Position Details:

• Role: Project Director
• Project Name: Sindh Livestock & Aquaculture Development (SLAD/LIVAQUA)
• Station: Project Implementation Unit (PIU), Hyderabad, Sindh

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management and operational execution of project activities.
• Develop and present Annual Project Implementation Plans (PIPs) to the Project Coordination Unit (PCU).
• Ensure effective project timelines, resource utilization, and compliance with procurement regulations.
• Monitor financial and budgetary transactions, ensuring accountability and transparency.
• Foster a collaborative work environment within the PIU and ensure efficient communication with stakeholders.
• Implement and monitor risk management strategies and environmental compliance.
• Maintain alignment between district-level teams and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Prepare and submit quarterly and annual project performance reports to the Project Coordinator.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Livestock or Fisheries disciplines (Master’s in Project Management preferred).
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in BPS-17 or above in the government sector.
• Minimum of 5 years in project management, preferably in World Bank-funded projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Sindhi (both oral and written).
• Strong leadership skills, ability to meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Residency in Sindh Province and experience in Sindh’s livestock sector will be an added advantage.

Contract Duration:

• Initially for 36 months, with renewal based on annual performance reviews.
