Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO), a public sector power distribution company catering to over 0.8 million consumers across 10 districts in Northern Sindh, invites applications from dynamic and experienced professionals for C-level positions based in Sukkur.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
Candidates must exhibit strong leadership and strategic thinking, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Responsibilities include policy development, compliance management, risk mitigation, and fostering a high-performance culture. Candidates must possess excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder relationship management skills, along with expertise in their respective fields.
Positions and Eligibility Criteria:
1. Chief Internal Auditor
- Qualification: Member of a recognized professional accounting body with a qualification in CA/CPA/ACMA/ACCA or MBA (Finance) from a reputable university/institute.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in auditing, risk management, internal control design, compliance, and financial reliability within the public or private sector, particularly in state-owned enterprises or public sector projects.
2. Chief Legal Officer
- Qualification: Master’s degree (16 years of education) in Law from an HEC-recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience as a practicing lawyer with expertise in corporate law, commercial transactions, and regulatory frameworks, including work in the energy or power sector. High Court license required. Experience in senior legal roles is preferred.
3. Chief Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Officer
- Qualification: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Experience: At least 15 years of experience in IT governance, systems integration, change management, and leading IT initiatives across diverse teams.
4. Company Secretary
- Qualification: Member of a recognized professional accounting or corporate secretaries’ body, or a master’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or Law from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in governance and compliance.
5. Director General MIRAD
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Law, or Management Sciences from an HEC-recognized university (Master’s in Business Administration preferred).
- Experience: At least 15 years of professional experience, including 10 years in the power or related sectors, with expertise in utility business operations, regulatory affairs, contract management, and competitive electricity markets.
General Terms and Conditions:
- Maximum age limit: 55 years (as of the closing date).
- Appointments will be made on a contract basis for two years, extendable based on performance.
- Market-competitive compensation and benefits will be offered as per SEPCO’s C-Level Appointment Regulations 2024.
- Post-qualification experience is mandatory for all roles.
- Selected candidates must comply with the Fit and Proper Criteria outlined in the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023, SOEs Policy 2023, and C-Level Appointment Guidelines 2024.
