Today Federal Board of Revenue FBR Department Jobs. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) under the Revenue Division, Government of Pakistan, invites applications from competent, tech-savvy, and result-oriented individuals for 81 contract-based posts of MIS Officers (BPS-16) across Pakistan Customs field formations. These posts are strictly on a contract basis for a period of two (02) years, which may be extended based on performance and departmental needs.

Candidates with qualifications in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent from HEC recognized universities are encouraged to apply. FBR’s objective is to enhance the IT infrastructure of its Customs field offices to support its digitalization efforts, efficient enforcement, and public service delivery.

Applicants will be selected based on merit, regional quota, and as per federal recruitment policies including applicable women, minority, and disabled person quotas.

Qualification Requirements
Candidates must possess a Second Class or Grade C Master’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or an equivalent qualification recognized by the HEC.
OR
A Second Class or Grade C Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent is also acceptable.

Age Limit
Minimum Age: 20 Years
Maximum Age: 28 Years (inclusive of 5 years general age relaxation).
Additional age relaxation applies as per government rules (see below).

Job Description
MIS Officers will be responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems and IT infrastructure across Customs field formations. Tasks include software handling, database management, technical support, system troubleshooting, and ensuring digital security. Candidates must demonstrate technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of IT systems.

General Instructions
Appointment will be made purely on a contract basis for 2 years, as per Establishment Division guidelines.
Vacancies will be filled as per provincial/district/regional domicile and in line with Government recruitment rules.
Original documents (educational, domicile, CNIC, experience) along with attested copies must be presented during the interview.
Screening tests or skill tests (where required) will be conducted according to Federal Government policy.
The 10% Women quota and 5% Minority quota will be strictly observed.
Disabled persons must provide a Disability Certificate from the Medical Assessment Board (Ministry of Human Rights) at the time of interview.
The Customs department reserves the right to cancel or adjust the number of vacancies as needed.
In case of false information, candidature can be cancelled at any stage.

Age Relaxation Rules
Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Tribes of Tribal Areas, AJK, GB: 3 Years
Sindh (R) and Balochistan (for BPS-15 and below): 3 Years
Retired Armed Forces Personnel: 15 Years or service years rendered (whichever is less)
Government Servants (with 2+ years continuous service): 10 Years (up to age 55)
Disabled Persons: 10 Years
Widows/Children of deceased civil servants: 5 Years
