Sindh Mass Transit Authority SMTA Latest Hiring 2025. The Government of Sindh Transport & Mass Transit Department is seeking qualified professionals for the Karachi Mobility Project (BRT-Yellow Line). This is a donor-funded project, offering temporary/contract-based employment. Interested candidates can submit their applications before the deadline.
Available Positions & Eligibility Criteria
1. Director Planning & Design / Senior Engineer (Technical) (One Position)
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Transport Engineering, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
- Foreign qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
Experience & Skills:
- At least 15 years of post-qualification relevant experience, including 5 years in a senior management role.
- Expertise in planning, construction management, contract management.
- International experience in donor-funded infrastructure projects will be a plus.
- Strong skills in team building, procurement, and project execution.
2. Assistant Director (AD) Admin & HRM (One Position)
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience & Skills:
- At least 5 years of HR & administrative management experience, preferably in public sector or large infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in donor-funded or multinational projects is a plus.
Employment Conditions & Selection Process
- Contract Duration: Initially one year, renewable based on performance.
- No right to regularization under any Government policy.
- Selection purely on merit, subject to donor agency approval.
- Competitive salary package as per Government of Sindh guidelines.
- Domicile policy of Sindh Government applies.
